Bob Baker did an interview with musician Terry Prince in Santa Clara a few months ago. Terry plays a few hours of gigs a week on the pier for 18 months. As a result he sold 15,000 CDs. Watch the video interview here.
My client Dave Bonney sold 8,000 CDs in 3 weeks. His story is here. If anything, take this as an inspiration for you to get up and take action.
Kath Bee is planning similar tours in New Zealand planning her kids tours and I’m glad to have helped for a short time earlier this year. She’s doing kids tours in areas of New Zealand and has a plan to upsell her CDs. I’m looking forward to ask her at the end of the year how many CDs she’s sold. I suspect a high number if she sticks it out.
That’s what it’s about, isn’t it?
Having a plan and sticking it out. Believing in yourself when you have a plan and going through with it.
That’s what the Musicians Masterminders are doing. They’re working through a five month series of lessons and working consistently to reach their goals. Want to join them? Read this article.
Back to my original question… Can you sell music playing on the pier?
Yes, you can. Because it’s a plan you’ve created and if you stick it out like Terry, you’ll attract the sales you deserve.
